hello!
my problem: i play online-poker and the java-tool saves all information in a directory called OngameNetwork in my home-dir. i want to hide this directory, but it has to function further normally. i think there is a way to do that, but i can't remember.
thanks for your help

Making a file called .hidden in the parent directory, and putting the name of the directory you want to hide into it should work.

Hi, I tried this, but it seemed to have no effect. The .hidden file is of course hidden, but not any directories I name in it. I tried to find more information and I did find one thread on the Ubuntu forums but it is short and doesn't provide much information. It does mention Nautilus, though. Is this method specific to certain file managers?

Oops. It is only for Nautilus. Sorry about that.
