i think you will end much faster if you go to every mobo manufacturer page and you check there personally.

Re: Does your motherboard boot from USB flash device?

The reviews of motherboards do not mention anything regarding boot devices!!!

Even if the did, no proof that they work as adveretised!

Soltek K8AN2E-GR supports booting from USB but I've never really tested it. I'll test later today with on of those USB live distros and report back.

Re: Does your motherboard boot from USB flash device?

Please add your mobo to the post if it will boot USB-HDD.

My hope is to find a mobo that has 2GB RAM  (2100) and has a socket A 462 CPU which does boot from USB-HDD.

Biostar M7VIG 400 Pro (micro-ATX). Not sure it can take that much RAM though, and it suffers from a BIOS bug that prevents high-speed USB from working during boot, so booting from USB devices is *extremely* slow.

Re: Does your motherboard boot from USB flash device?

Mine says it can boot flash drives in the BIOS and it is a boot option, etc. However every flash drive I've tried has failed to boot on mine (and they boot on other people's computers). I've actually come across a few motherboards like this.
