Matlab install on arch64 failing

Hello all, my first post.

Had arch64 up and running on my laptop for about a day now, everything gone pretty smoothly so far, but now i need to install matlab and i'm having problems. Error below:

/mnt/iso1/install: line 713: /lib64/libc.so.6: No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `/mnt/iso1/update/bin/glnxa64/*': No such file or directory
Error writing to /tmp/3496tmwinstall
The installer is unable to copy files to /tmp.
Make sure that /tmp exists, is writable, and has
at least 5 megabytes of available space.

Matlab uses it's own built in install script and it has always gone straight on. I've checked the /tmp dir and it's set to read/write - i'm installing as SU anyway - and it certainly has more than 5mb space. I must admit that this is the first time i have attmepted to install onto a 64bit computer, but the error thrown up seems trivial and not related to that. Also,

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm not too experienced so go easy on me.

Thanks a lot, pete.

Re: Matlab install on arch64 failing

Oh poop, I seem to have found the problem. The iso doesn't contain the files for the 64bit version "glnxa64".

Must get back onto mathworks.

Pete.
