Re: March 2007 Screenshots

During the 1990s, the term "hacker" became synonymous with "cracker," which is a person who performs some form of computer sabotage. The association is understandable. In order to be an effective cracker, you had to be a good hacker, thus the terms got intertwined, and hacker won out in the popular press.

Re: March 2007 Screenshots

[originally, someone who makes furniture with an axe]

1. A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum necessary. RFC1392, the Internet Users' Glossary, usefully amplifies this as: A person who delights in having an intimate understanding of the internal workings of a system, computers and computer networks in particular.

In my screenshot it says it's LAUGH, but I used that theme only as a template and made my own out of it. My theme is for openbox-svn and therefore it uses the new xml format. If you still want it, I can upload it for you. smile

Re: March 2007 Screenshots

titlePanel1.png

I use an autohide panel but in .kde/share/config/kickerrc I have edited "AutoHideDelay=9999". This means when I maximise a window, the title remains covered my the panel. I found that if you go to the "hiding" option in the panel/control centre it will reset the autohide to 10 seconds (so I don't do that then wink ).

xfce4.4 with the composite tweaks turned on. The only thing it's missing is a expose function.

Sure. That's one of the cleanest openbox themes that I've seen lately.
