I just set up for first (okay, yesterday was first, today second) time my new Arch Linux. I installed xorg already, and now I'd like to install ati-fglrx (prior to Xfce4), but it complains:
* after retrieving corresponding packages *
checking package integrity... done.
loading package data... done.
checking for file conflicts...
error: the following file conflicts were found:
libstdc++5: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5: exists in filesystem
libstdc++5: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7: exists in filesystem
pacman -Sf ati-fglrx works (tried it earlier, before reinstalling the whole OS), but I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
While installing Arch I installed only all base-categorized packages.
( Hopefully you're simple enough in your replies, I'm a newbie not only to Arch, but quite newbie to whole Linux thing. )
Thank y000h.

pacman -Syu your system first. I guess you installed with a very old CD which had libstdc++5 included in the gcc package. As libstdc++5 will never get updated again, we decided to have it in its own package to save compilation time for gcc.
