Progress indicators for mv and cp with -g switch

On my old Gentoo box, I could add -g to both mv and cp, however, ever since I installed Arch these come back with an error. Is there something I can install to get this functionality back?

AUR provides a PKBUILD for "ecp" which is "an extended version of the GNU coreutils' cp".
This also includes a progress bar.
