extra upgrades ?

Probably a daft question but ...... I notice from the front page and the RSS feeds that there are new things coming into Arch at the moment ; openoffice 2.2, gnome 2.18 and so on ; these are mostly in the "extra" repositories.

However ; when I do pacman -Syu they don't seem to come up. Are these marked masked or unstable somehow, as I thought they'd move out of "testing" ?

Have I got out of "sync" somehow ? Are repository updates taking time to sync amongst the various mirrors ?
