Howdy.
I have used linux for years, but i never really tried gnome, as im more of a kde man.
Recently i decided i would give gnome a fair try and go gnome only for a month.
Everything seems ok, but there is something that bugs the life outa me: print screen in gnome.
Its not as good as in kde and the files are massive in size, and there is no way to adjust the size/file type as i can see at least.
any tips?

If you press PRINTSCREEN you will get a preview and the option to name the file and where to save it. In Gnome it is customary to just enter the extension you want together with the name, e. g. screenshot1.jpg, and Gnome converts to the according type. Default is PNG, though, which will give a picture file of ca. 130kb for a 1280x1024 screen resolution.
If you need more options, try the GIMP's screenshot features.
