find out sound card

hey !

is there a way to find out what soundcard i have got built-in in my hp nx7000 notebook?
i just know that there are jbl boxes, but i need to know the soundcard for configuring alsa

Sounds to me like you figured it out by googling a bit.  In case you didn't know, one tool (using particular command line options) is really beneficial:

lspci -vv

I found out my wireless PCI NIC is actually a Cisco 4800, not a 350 as reported by the /proc interface.  Other little things like learning my SB Live! card PnP vendor string (CT4620) and such are nice.
