Problems with Mutt procmail and maildir

Hi there,
i've got some problems with the configuration of mutt.
I want to use the maildir format to store my emails so i told procmail to store them in maildirs

#this is one example from $HOME/.procmailrc
MAILDIR=/home/hrist/mail
:0
^ From.*name@domain.tld
$MAILDIR/people/name

now i want mutt to display  those folders in the sidebar( mutt with this sidebar-patch)
my $HOME/.mutt/mailboxes looks like this

# vim: set ft=muttrc:

set folder="~/mail"
set postponed="~/mail/drafts/"

set record="+sent"
mailboxes +inbox
mailboxes =people/gromobir
mailboxes =people/mfehrenbacher
mailboxes =people/jschweitzer
mailboxes =people/thiede
mailboxes =people/darkster
mailboxes =list/schule
mailboxes =list/heisesec
mailboxes +sent

but when ever try to open one of those maildirs in mutt it says "/home/people/name is not a mailbox",
i'm not sure if my use of = and + is correct, so some advice on what might be wrong would be nice
for inbox and send it is working.

Re: Problems with Mutt procmail and maildir

From what I see, mutt is telling you that the directory /home/people name doesn't exit.
What you want or where you want mutt to look is /home/hrist/mail/people/name or
~/mail/people/name.
In mutt, change directories and scroll to the different subdirectories till you get to them smile

Also, did you "set mbox_type="maildir" in your .muttrc?

Re: Problems with Mutt procmail and maildir

You'd better append a / to the maildir. From man procmailrc

If the mailbox name ends in "/", then this directory
       is presumed to be a maildir folder; i.e.,  procmail  will  deliver  the
       message  to  a  file  in a subdirectory named "tmp" and rename it to be
       inside a subdirectory named "new".

HTH.

Re: Problems with Mutt procmail and maildir

Hey thanks I think it was the missing slash in .procmailrc

/home/username/.procmailrc

MAILDIR=/home/username/mail
LOGFILE=/home/username/.procmail.log
:0
* ^From.*name.name@domain.tld
$MAILDIR/people/name/

:0
$MAILDIR/inbox/

and /home/username/.mutt/mailboxes

set folder="/home/hrist/mail"
set postponed="/home/hrist/mail/drafts/"
set record="+sent"

mailboxes +inbox
mailboxes +send

# people
mailboxes +people/name1
mailboxes +people/name2

To use this file put

source /home/username/.mutt/mailboxes

in your .muttrc
This setup works as far as I tested it.

So thanks for your help.
