:? I have a rage 128 pro, from ATI.  I'm using the kernel26 2.6.5 arch linux pacakge.  I get this error, and I have no 3d support.  I get the same error for both xorg and xfree!  And ideas anyone?

Re: Rage 128 Problems

Can you post /etc/X11/XF86Config ?
I'm using AIW 128 Pro(AGP) with kernel 2.6.5, xfree 4.3/4.4 or x11R6.7.0 just work fine for me.

Re: Rage 128 Problems

this is very strange: it initializes correctly but issues about permissions

one thing to check this: try starting X as root and try glxinfo from there to check if it is still mesa or not

Re: Rage 128 Problems

Are you using xorg 7.0 with your rage 128 card now?

If so, can you send me your xorg.conf file or post it here please.

Thanks!
