I had successfully set up a network printer using cups. The printer is attached to a one workstation and I configured it to be accessed by another networked computer. So two computers were accessing the printer. Yesterday, the server would only respond to the remote client. I could print from the networked computer just fine but not the local machine. I pulled up KDE control center and got an error that it couldn't connect to the cups server. I went to the command line and restarted cupsd. Then, thinking KDE might be messed up, I used localhost:631 in a web browser. It cam up just fine. However, when I click on printers, the page displayed says "error". There are no signal numbers or anything. Nothing is in error logs or access logs. Meanwhile, the remote computer can still print. I have reinstalled cups, gutenprint, and libcups to no avail. I have not changed my cups.conf. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
