terminal color

So how do you add color to your terminal.

My .bashrc has an alias for ls, but I have no color in gnome-terminal (other than ls )
or xterm. Mutt has no color eventhough it's set in .muttrc. And
:syntax on in vim only makes things bold.

add this to your ~/.bashrc:

export TERM=xterm-color
