What's the Status of Gnome 2.18 on Arch?

Was on holidays for the last 2 weeks. Can someone using Gnome fill me in, if everything is working now properly? I've seen, that Gnome 2.18 went stable, that some packages were still kept at the 2.16 version due to difficulties, and that there was still a problem with the Gnome Power Manager not working after boot. Are there still issues, or did recent package updates fix the remaining problems?

I'm gonna perform a new installation on my laptop very soon, and I decided to give Gnome a try this time, but I need a working environment asap.

It's working fine here on my desktop, I haven't encountered any specific issues.

Re: What's the Status of Gnome 2.18 on Arch?

I still have no gnome power manager icon in the tray. It is inclued in my session but does not appear, running gnome-power-manager doesn't make it show up either. However, it still seems to operate fine, I just don't get a display of where my battery life is at..

Is this an upstream problem, or an Arch issue? I don't remember, if the Gnome Power Manager Applet was working properly, when playing around with the Gnome 2.18 Foresight Linux VMware image (already deleted that one again).
