All distros have a reference card as their features, but ArchLinux doesn't have any. (or it has but i couldn't find). Also i looked it up wiki but only found Arch Handbook but it hasn't edited yet.
Is it good idea to create a reference card for ArchLinux?

I would say, that it is an excellent idea!

Yep. Good idea.
So, someone start it, or this discussion will go forever, and nothing will ever be written.
Use the wiki for a start, set some ideas out, and after you've done that, maybe you can lay it out in scribus and export PDFs.

ok i can be a volunteer for it. At first i'll search and look through other's reference card and then create ours. Anybody else?

At your service, or something...;)
Well, just to get started we could create a wiki entry for "reference card" containing all important conf files, rc.conf, pacman.conf and so on. And useful commands like lshwd, lspci, ifconfig, iwconfig and all that. And a quick and dirty for pacman.
Thats a start atleast. (I'll take the libirty to add the page myself)
As an inspiration I have http://people.debian.org/~debacle/refcard/.

I dunno if im graduating from linux noobiness but ain't that debian ref card pretty noobish?
Maybe copy most straight from debian ref card and add arch stuff and some more exotic commands ![]()

Well, I thought more as an outline (I think most arch users remembers basic stuff like ls,cd and so on...)

The arch handbook was brought up during this http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=31573 thread, and i am still thinking of doing this...
I'm not sure if this is the same thing were talking about, but i would suggest that we keep each other notified so that your reference card doesn't collide with the "complete _system_ documentation" i/we are working on...
this is a good initiative! ![]()

I could provide a german translation once the english card is more or less done.
Haven't been here in a while. Still rocking Arch. ![]()

Maybe this should be integrated in the Reference Card.
