xfce 4.4.1 - fonts to big [solved]

after i upgraded today to xfce 4.4.1 I have a strange font problem: all fonts are much to big. I followed the instructions to

grep -r /opt ~/.config/xf*

and to exchange /opt with /usr. can somebody help me?

Re: xfce 4.4.1 - fonts to big [solved]

i reverted xfce to 4.4.0 and everything looks ok again, but i had to delete the config files to. perhaps the dpi is calculated wrongly somewhere?

UPDATE: I did a fc-cache -f -v too after reverting xfce so it does not have to be configuration issue...

Re: xfce 4.4.1 - fonts to big [solved]

the following did the trick to fix the font issues in 4.4.1:

I added Xft.dpi to set the value manually and now it works:

cat .config/xfce4/Xft.xrdb
Xft.antialias: 1
Xft.hinting: 1
Xft.hintstyle: hintfull
Xft.rgba: none
Xft.dpi: 100
