problem with sounds in Gaim 2.0.0beta6

When I upgraded to the new Gaim beta in the repos, somehow I am only able to choose system beep or command as my sound options.  Both of these options are rather annoying.  Is there any way around this?

Might have to rebuild it.

Well, I tried that, and still, nothing worked.  Am I missing something?  Maybe my computer just can't hack it anymore.

I must be an idiot because I'm still not understanding what's going on.  Maybe if someone could explain to me how to rebuild it?  I'm losing my mind.

EDIT:
Never mind.  I got it.  Thanks.

EDIT:
Well, I rebuilt the package, but I'm still not getting any sound from Gaim.  Every other sound on every other program works.  I don't get it.

I had the same problem, but I just used 'command' and set it to 'aplay %s'

I hadn't thought of that option.  It fixed the sound problem I had.  ::shrugs::  As long as it works.

Another command to try is 'artsplay %s' if 'aplay %s' dosen`t work for you
