splashy on archlinux?

I was browsing the splashy homepage and found out in their faq that splashy supposedly works with archlinux. But there's no splashy package in the AUR and there's almost no info about it in the forums. What gives?

Well, they might be jumping to conclusions. smile

I attempted splashy on Arch a while ago, with limited success, and posted a couple of questions on the forum there. It's possible they assumed it worked.

Now that mkinitcpio has settled in here, I'll have another crack at it sometime soon.

i did have a vague memory of someone playing around with it a while back. It would be great if we could get it working though smile

Re: splashy on archlinux?

Yes it works in Arch... But hell, a lot of work was needed to make that happen. I basically modified ALL the scripts that came with the Splashy package because none would actually work in Arch.

Anyway, here it is: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … 1&ID=10211
There are still a lot of bugs but it's freakin' working so why not try it? wink
