Hey,
When I boot archlinux on my laptop, once i get to the login prompt on a standard boot, I have to wait about 5-10 seconds before the login prompt will accept any input. If however anything in the boot process takes that extra 5-10 seconds, then I can use the login prompt instantly.
Additionally, I use the suspend kernel, and recently couldn't boot into an image (my fault). I turned off the power, turned it back on, and it prompted me about not being able to load the image. At this point, I still couldn't press spacebar to cancel it for about 15-20 seconds (keyboard input worked as soon as I could though, so it didn't get to the 25 seconds where it automatically removes the image).
I have included a copy of my dmesg up to the suspend warning at http://pastebin.archlinux.org/2530
I am presuming that something is not loading correctly and timing out
The last line of dmesg also says "psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio4/input0 - driver resynched", however, I would assume this wouldn't affect keyboard input

Also, if I resume from a hibernated image, I can't get any input for about 10-15 seconds, confirming that the issue is somewhere in that dmesg output
