1. I'm experiencing some errors showing up on bootup.
I'm using Voodoo.
My dmesg is (the errors):
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.6:USB HID core driver
end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 1413968
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 353492

and some other later, about /etc/inittab having entries more than 4 chars long (that wasn't appearing at first, it's after I added some entries to /etc/inittab).
Why are those appearing and how can I stop them?
2. The first line of dmesg reads:
Linux version 2.6.20-ARCH (root@Wohnung) (gcc version 4.1.2) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Mar 24 10:51:35 CET 2007
Why root@Wohnung?
My hostname isn't "Wohnung". How can I change this?
Offline
`root@Wohnung' is that of the kernel builder ...only thing i can suggest is to change whatever you modified, back to what it a before ...
http://www.netadmintools.com/html/inittab.man.html should provide soem info, on what you might have done wrong, sometime sit's just a simple typo.
as for the i/o errors, i dunno what causes this but it helps to take the compact disk out of teh drive.
