azureus simply won't start

I'm really at a loss as to what is happening. Here is what I know:

[f|~]% azureus
[f|~]%
[f|~]% ps aux | grep azureus
[f|~]%

and azureus simply does not start. Is anyone else having similar problems? Its just azurues, everything else works fine. I've tried uninstalling (with pacman -R) and reinstalling (with pacman -S) and I still get the same results.

Any suggestions? Pointers? What other information would be helpful to you guys to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Re: azureus simply won't start

/usr/bin/azureus is just a wrapper.

cat it and try running the plain java command it invokes. Maybe you'll be able to discover something.

Incidentally, there are some other interesting and less resource hungry clients out there - especially ktorrent rocks - if you do use KDE.
