Mirrors

Hello,
I have been having some issues with the Arch mirrors. I read we weren't "supposed" to use archlinux.org anymore. So I am trying to find another one but going down the list it seems many of the servers are either outdated or don't work. Any suggestions? What servers are you using? (I live in the United States if that makes a difference).

Re: Mirrors

Look at the wiki article on mirrors for the most up to date list (note that some have an http and an ftp version, so you may have to try both), and then try using the rankmirrors script (download from CVS if you're not running Pacman 3 from testing yet) to sort out the best ones.

Thanks! Before you posted I tried the Netherlands mirror and somehow it's working really well. I will stick to that until this upgrade finishes. (Is there anything wrong with me using that one?) Thanks for the quick reply also.

Re: Mirrors

Your welcome!  As long it's a good mirror for you, there is no issue in using it...those that are posted are all public mirrors.
