Well,
I'm in troubles with graveman for past few months, so I searched for a replacing application. It must burn CD/DVD and have a GTK frontend (not gnome-dependant). A graveman working ^^ (all my burns fail at the end, CD or DVD)

I was having the same problem with graveman, never really investigated. You could try xfburn-svn, I'm not sure how far along it is at this moment though.

Are you sure they are actually failing?
I get the error message that my burns failed, but they always work just fine.

OK I know 3 burning apps using gtk/gnome:
* gnomebaker (extra repository): Seems to be the default burning app for the gnome desktop.
* pyburn Written by Judd. Absolutely kiss.
* brasero (community repository) Also kiss. My prefered burning app.

Thank you all for answering.
I picked up xfburn since I'm using xfce4, and it works fine but it seems it can't burn DVD. Which application do you use for that task ?
Thanks again

I want a free software
xcdraost needs another non-free app to burn DVD, doesn't it ?

I forgot that nero released a burning software beta. That should run without gnome so.
