[solved] consistant look across QT/GTK

Hi All,

Are there any tutorials about that can show me how to style other apps, like opera/firefox.
I'm using fluxbox.

Opera has these ugly menu's.

Firefox is just generally ugly

I'd like to have a uniform look across all my apps.

Thanks
James

Re: [solved] consistant look across QT/GTK

Opera is a QT application not GTK and Firefox is a XUL app that doesn't follow the GTK theme as a "native" GTK app like gedit.

For Opera you can install a skin or install a qt theme like polymer.

Re: [solved] consistant look across QT/GTK

Thanks karmapolice, opera skins didn't fix it.  I've found the following related resources,

Gentoo wiki entry - same look qt,gtk2,gt1 apps
following instructions here didn't seem to acheive anything at all.

I found an app called Metatheme which has made fonts in gtk-demo perfect, opera fonts are perfect too, just the drop down menus are still grey (any idea what controls this?)
Firefox still looks like a pile of shite with insanely big fonts.

The drop down menus are changed by using qtconfig

Perfect.
install metatheme (pacman -S metatheme)
as user run metatheme-install
play about with mt-config to fix fonts
run qtconfig to tweak the qt style to make opera pretty smile

Thanks whompus smile
