Hi,
When i boot up with nothing in my CD-Rom drive i get something like this: Device sr1 not ready, perhaps insert an cd?
When i do have a cd in in drive while booting up i get this:
end_request: I/O error, dev sr1, sector 0
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 0
end_request: I/O error, dev sr1, sector 8
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 1
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 2
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 3
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 4
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 5
ath0: no IPv6 routers present
end_request: I/O error, dev sr1, sector 0
printk: 11 messages suppressed.
Buffer I/O error on device sr1, logical block 0and it takes much longer to boot becouse of these errors
However my DVD-Rom(both of these drives are IDE btw) works fine, no messages whatsoever... I also just noted that the cd doesnt get mounted either...
Now, my problem is that i use this cd-rom drive and the disk in it to wake me up in the morning(Asus music alarm in the bios, lifesaver) and its to see that my computer has a slower boot when i have the disc in the cd-rom... My fstab is empty for cd-rom entries becouse my discs are auto-mounted when i put them in the drives...
Anyone?
