My soundcard refuses to detect right

I have a Creative SoundBlaster Live LS SB0229, but can't get it to work. Following the wiki, I modprobe'd snd-emu10k1. Command output is as follows:

fivre@nrtb:~$ lsmod | grep '^snd'
snd_emu10k1 128192 0
snd_ac97_codec 95396 1 snd_emu10k1
snd_pcm_oss 39072 0
snd_pcm 68740 3 snd_emu10k1,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss
snd_util_mem 3840 1 snd_emu10k1
snd_hwdep 7044 1 snd_emu10k1
snd_mixer_oss 14464 1 snd_pcm_oss
snd_timer 19204 2 snd_emu10k1,snd_pcm
snd_page_alloc 7944 2 snd_emu10k1,snd_pcm
snd_mpu401_uart 7040 0
snd_rawmidi 19232 2 snd_emu10k1,snd_mpu401_uart
snd_seq_device 6796 2 snd_emu10k1,snd_rawmidi
snd 43876 10 snd_emu10k1,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_pcm,snd_hwdep,snd_mixer_oss,snd_timer,snd_mpu401_uart,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device
fivre@nrtb:~$ ls -l /dev/snd/
total 0
crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 33 2007-04-23 00:47 timer

What's wrong?

Re: My soundcard refuses to detect right

What happens when you put snd-emu10k1 in the MODULES-array in /etc/rc.conf and reboot?
Or, if you want to check before you reboot:

# modprobe snd-emu10k1
# udevtrigger

Stand back, intruder, or i'll blast you out of space! I am Klixon and I don't want any dealings with you human lifeforms. I'm a cyborg!
