Returning to a clean slate

Hi,

Is there is a good way to uninstall all of the programs that I didn't have when I finally finished installing Arch? I would like to start with a clean slate and learn how to use OpenBox instead of Gnome.

Thanks,

Kyle

I don't think there's any need to start with a clean slate here... just install OpenBox and don't start the Gnome stuff. Less work if you want to do some Gnome stuff later.

Probably there is a better way to do this, but this works for me and I was to lazy to google for a better solution. When I wan't to experiment with new software I install it the usual way, then later I skim through /var/log/pacman.log and do pacman -Rs on the packages I want to remove. After that I just clean my $HOME for any dot-files and that's it.

Btw, one (probably) great feature for pacman would be: able to set a mark, or revision for any set of installed packages. So after installing and messing around with new packages, you can just rollback to that revision you like.
