Ok, i've been waiting for some time now for the Thunderbird 2 package to be available in the repos... Can anyone make a temp PKGBUILD for thunderbird 2 while we await thunderbird 2 in the extra repo?

as a temporary solution download thunderbird-2.0.0.0.tar.gz from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/
then extract it e.g. in your home dir, then make a launcher pointing to 'thunderbird'.

Does anyone have any idea how long it will take? Most of the time, new software is within a few days.

just
abs
cd `find /var/abs -name thunderbird` # sorry don't remember where thunderbird lies, not at home right now
#change the version in the pkfbuild to 2.0.0.0, and comemnt out the patches, unless u feel confident they won't break anything
makepkg -i
happy building

you can already find TB2.0.0.0 in our CVS tagged with HEAD to build it yourself. the i686 maintainer is still busy with Xorg server update. But expect TB soon to hit the repos.

rss feeds are working here. check if a new profile resolves it.

RSS support is not available also for me. When I enter File -> New -> Account, only Email account and Newsgroup account are available. Removing my profile didn't help. After removing thunderbird-i18n, Gmail has appeared but still no RSS. Any ideas?
