I just hung up on Sony Ericssons support who told me that there is probably something wrong with my computer because my phone refuses to run in USB 2.0 and only runs in USB 1.1
Well, they're obviously wrong because my HP printer works just fine in USB 2.0 and I haven't gotten my phone running in USB 2.0 anywhere (I've tried three linux-boxes - I refuse to try with Windows).
So, does anyone have a SE-phone running in USB 2.0 (under Linux) and if so, did you have to do anything in particular to make it work?
If you don't know how to check if it's running in USB 2.0 or 1.1 here's an example:
USB 1.1 (my phone):
usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
USB 2.0 (my printer):
usb 1-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
So, "high speed" and ehci_hcd means 2.0 and "full speed" means 1.1 ("low speed" means 1.0)

Even if it's not a "high speed" USB 2.0 phone, it's still USB 2.0. Same goes for my Canon LiDE 30 scanner, USB 2.0 but only "full speed".
Your definitions are completely wrong.

I have the same problem with my SE-W710i. The manual says that it can transfer using USB 2.0 but it looks like it can only connect to my computer with USB 1.1.
I also have a cardreader that I use for transfering to/from a SD flash memory card for cameras and PDA's. This cardreader does connect and transfer with USB 2.0 on the same computer.
