importing a printer driver from Ubuntu

I own an ip3000 and it seems as though in Ubuntu's latest release they support this printer (among many others) perfectly. I'd like to import this driver over to Arch but I wouldn't have a clue where to start. Any help?

If it helps, from my /usr/share/gutenprint/5.0.0.99.1/xml/printers.xml file in ubuntu it seems as though the driver is a modified ip4000 driver

<printer name="Canon PIXMA iP3000" driver="bjc-PIXMA-iP3000" manufacturer="Canon" model="3999" parameters="PIXMA_iP4000_params"/>
