I have a confusing problem. Whatever kind of text (code, plain text, etc.) I try to copy from Geany to Open Office Writer, on paste OOo opens a strange insertion dialog and then crashes. If I copy the text from Geany to Gedit first and from Gedit to OOo everything works fine. So I guess there is some kind of conversion problem happening but I'm not sure where to look for hints.
Can anybody confirm this behavior? If yes, I'm going to file a bug report.

I don't get the crash in OOo but I can confirm the weird insertion dialog when you try to paste.

I just had a problem something like yours. I pasted into OOo ok, but all of the formatting I did didn't stick. I hate word stupid processors. Anyway, as it turns out, Geany saves text in utf8 by default. I changed it to "western" (iso8859-1) and that seemed to solve the problem. Boy did I waste alot of time!
