I was trying to install beryl on archlinux...and had to enter lines into the nvidia config file...like Load "glx"
etc...while doing that...my monitor turned black suddenly. I tried a reboot, but it just comes up with a black screen. What could be the problem here? thanks!!

That does not say a lot. Be a little bit more verbose: when does the screen turn black? Already on boot or when you try to start X11?

just complete black screen im afraid. I havent seen a single word, cursor, or anything apart from black pixels on my monitor for a few hours now. Just boot, fans run up, black. black. black... thanks!

Is the screen black _while_ you boot or can you see the kernel- and init-messages flow by? That is what I wanted to know. Can you see the Grub-Menu? Can you access the BIOS? We need to narrow it down before.
