can't play audio cd's

I've installed audacious and I cant get it to play audio cd's

I am in group's audio and optical already,

I get an audio cd icon on my desktop when one is inserted so my system can detect that an audio cd is inserted but audacious says that there isn't one inserted... at a lost at whats happening here.

totem doesn't give me the option to play it either.

Re: can't play audio cd's

If you go to preferances, then down to plugins you'll see CD Audio plugins. Check that it is selected and click on preferances at the bottom, and change the directory from /mnt/cdrom to /mnt/cd and it should work fine as that's what I had to do to get it working

Re: can't play audio cd's

thanks I installed the plug-ins and redirected the plugin to my dvd drive. I thought that /dev/cdrom /dev/dvd would mean the same thing if you only have 1 optical drive in your computer... (and considering I can mount /mnt/cdrom when I insert a data disc...)
