Wow kde can really turn on the ugly
I believe it's my taste in desktop aesthetics, rather than KDE itself. My actual design principles (such as use of corners) seem to be more popular. However, I have never gone in for brightly-coloured desktops or backgrounds with too much variance in colour and the other main environment, Gnome, I have always found deeply unsuitable, both aesthetically and functionally, for my needs.
Still, my desktop is fast and lets me access everything quickly according to my desktop design principles. A desktop really needs no further successful defence.

My advice for the day: if you get issues with font rendering performance when using EXA, set "MigrationHeuristic" to "greedy" in the xorg.conf Device section. This should make it perform about as well as XAA.
Nice gtk-theme. What's it's name?
Is this openbox?

Well, I-10 does go along the gulf coast, but according to our friend Google, it goes all the way to Arizona. So, I-10 is one long damn stretch of road!
