python-dcop

Does anyone know where I can find the dcop bindings for python? I've searched with pacman and in AUR but didn't find a package.
So I'm looking for the arch alternative to the debian python-dcop package.
Thanks in advantage cool

Re: python-dcop

This is what I've found about it:

--PyDCOP, a module in kdebindings that allows you to script DCOP via Python. It's unmaintained and doesn't seem to be too widely installed.
-- PyKDE, which binds kdelibs to Python and hence provides a way to connect to DCOP, but it is a big dependency and a bit heavy if you just want to script applications via DCOP.

Now we have pykde in the packages, that may solve the problem for you ... as for pydcop is unmaintained so may be hard to find.
I know it is found in Ubuntu.

Hope this helps.

Edit:

On the other hand you may want to use the module developed by  this guy:
http://paul.giannaros.org/sandbox_kdeipcmodule
It does the same thing and since KDE 4 will use DBUS it may provide a solution for now and for the future.
