I'm tired of Firefox. I've used it since the beginning, and it's never given me stability problems until now. I think it's time for a change. I have some questions about Opera.
1. Last time I tried Opera, I couldn't find a plug-in to play embedded videos. I'm currently using MPlayer in Firefox. Is there a way to get it to work in Opera? Anything better?
2. I use Arch 64. Will Flash installed via nspluginwrapper work? If I don't have Firefox installed, how do I install Flash?
3. Will Opera work on 64?
4. How is the built in e-mail client?

Well, look at it the bright side: You don't have to pay anything to try and experience it for yourself.
We can promote it all you want, but you're the one who has to decide whether he switches or not, so it's up to you to test it yourself, not up to us to convince you.

I understand that. I'm actually using it right now in Windows. I just need some pointers on how to get it to run properly in Linux.

mplayerplug-in works just fine. as does flashplugin fyi.

oh, ok 64 can't really commend on 64er versions, but it should work with the wrapper.
3. Will Opera work on 64?
no 64 system here, but you can easily test it as you have arch64 installed already, justs pacman -S opera.
4. How is the built in e-mail client?
i still think its the easiest and most troublefree email client for my tastes. all those email clients, even the slimmest ones (thunderbird, sylhpeed) dont really fullfill my need: just sth damn simple to read my mails / check for new ones, and write one. nothing more or less.
cheers,

Well... I got it installed. Everything works great except MPlayer. I can't get it to work. The path is there in the plug-in window, though. What do I do?

Hm, thats strange. Sincen newest mplayerplug-in version it should work fine with Opera, no need for the old one from AUR :S
