Ever since I updated my machine with the GNOME in /usr, all kinds of GNOME crap is starting with my KDE session. Keyboard managers, font managers, etc. What is starting this stuff and how can I turn it off?
If I wanted GNOME to manage my KDE settings I would use GNOME. What gives? Anybody else seeing this?

kde remembers what programs where open.
try killing all the gnome processes and not opening any gnome application.
also make sure that you don't have anything that can do this in ~/.kde/Autostart
when i open evolution some gnome stuff gets loaded. maybe you use an app that has some gnome dependencies.

Sorry, I forgot about this post. I'm not sure what happened, but I blew away my ~/.kde dir and everything seems ok now. I didn't have time to dig into the session management files to see what really might have been going on. At first I thought it was some intentional behavior introduced with the gnome move to /usr.
