segmentation fault ( SOLVED )

Hi all, after updating my system a few hours ago my system just started to seg fault on a few gtk apps (gnome-terminal, xchat-gnome,etc), one weird simpton i've noticed is that all gtk apps crash when I press a key, even bug-buddy crashes. I've just installed my system last night and I don't want to reinstall all over again just after 1 day of use sad. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: segmentation fault ( SOLVED )

Thanks for your answers, but for pacman there aren't any new updates (I'm I the only one with this problem? roll), and on going for testing if this is a package problem this shouldn't happen on current, I shouldn't havo to go to testing to solve a problem.

PS - I can now use my desktop (no segfaults) but just when using the failsafe session (on gdm) that only opens a xterm window, and when I choose a GTK theme or start gnome-session or gnome-control-center the segmentation fault starts again. So I conclude that it is a configuration problem or a problem regarding those packages.

Any more help? Please! roll ohhh and thaks for your help! smile

Re: segmentation fault ( SOLVED )

try deleting your .gtk* folders in your home directory.

Re: segmentation fault ( SOLVED )

That's what I did i deleted my .gnome, .gnome2, and .config folder from my home and everything started to work but I noticed that my gtk-2.0 in .config folder permissions were attributed to root. I don't think this is normal. but oh well it works again no more segfaults. Thank you for all of your help.;)
