Hi, I have a laptop with an Intel i915, who supports 1280x800 resolution.
I come from debian, and to get that, I only had to install 915resolution package. I try to get it from pacman, I have installed it, I have loaded it as a daemon, but it doesn't work.
What must I do to get 1280x800 resolution on my laptop?

Take a look at this wiki entry listed below on how to do that. This wiki entry will tell you exactly how to fix it up without the need of running the daemon at boot. Basically you are going to add an entry to your rc.local like:
/usr/sbin/915resolution 58 1280 600 24

thank you very much, it worked for me , but I have a doubt. When I boot my pc with de 915resolution patch, it repeats 5 o 6 times the same output telling that is patching X. I believe that it does that because the rc.conf loads more than 1 time on boot. In what part of the file i must put this line:
/usr/sbin/915resolution 45 1280 800 16
to work fine?
