Kodak EasyShare cameras
I have a Kodak EasyShare Z740 that I have been trying to get to work with linux, but have failed miserably. Has anyone goten these sort of cameras to work with linux? Any help is much appreciated

What do you mean by "work"? Isn't it recognized as usb-storage device?

My father uses a LS743, which he cannot get to work under Windows without some stupid EasyShare software. The usual way to fix problems is to connect the camera to my Arch notebook - always recognized automagically, no problems.

I'd always use an external card reader and plug in the card from the camera. Always more easy than to code some rules.

What did you do exactly ?
I have the same problem with a ZD710, I think the solution could be the same...
