Patches

Hi,
I wanted to ask if pacman -Sy <package> aply patches too, for example i have newest version of package and then serious security patch comes out. Do i have aply it manualy or packman do this?

Pacman does it. The devs would release a newer package (-2 or something) and pacman would fetch it next time you -Syu.
