A Seagate ATA HD detected as a sda during install??

edit: just found out that hda is sda now...

sorry if I have a bad question, but where is the problem?? if I understand it as well, then your PATA drive you are see as sda.. yes it is so strange but is it function??

All hard disks are named sd?? with the new pata driver from linux 2.6.20 and later. This driver replaces the old ide-legacy driver.
