Lag in updatng x 64 packages

I see a host of updated packages for 686 but thy are not on x 64. What is the normal time lag? Is it due to shortage of volunteers? Just enquiring, I moved to arch from ubuntu a month back and just love it..

You must not be following the current Arch64 crisis. You might should expect a rather long wait.

I was not aware there was a crisis per se.  If I had of know I might have stepped up a bit futher...

Not so much of a crisis anymore. AndyRTR and others sorted things out by adding two new developers for the port. The level of developer abuse had dropped by a noticible amount.
