what happened to the voodoo...the last time i saw arch wasnt suposed to have a new distro name...dammm i loved it to be eternaly on voodoo....please explain

eh whats in a name
if you feel so strongly about it change it yourself just edit
/etc/rc.sysinit

printhl "Arch Linux v0.8 $C_OTHER(${C_H2}Duke$C_OTHER)\n"

to

printhl "Arch Linux v0.8 $C_OTHER(${C_H2}Voodoo$C_OTHER)\n"

or whatever you want, i used to put diffrent stuff there
on my wifes pc i put cockmaster she never noticed
i think ill go change it again see if she notices this time

Don't forget /etc/issue.

I like the name Duke though.
Now if the next release will be 'cockmaster' I'll change it.

There's no such thing as release in Arch.
Next snapshot (ok, cal it release ) will be 2007.05 codename Duke.
/etc/arch-release is removed.
/etc/issue won't have any version number either.
"Duke" is left in /etc/issue "just for fun".
