Inputting the right refresh rates

I found the specficiations for my laptop, but I don't really know how to transfer these numbers to what Xorg require
the info Dell gives me

Horizontal: ±65° (WSXGA+)
Vertical: ±50° (WSXGA+)

From looking over your specs, I would add to xorg.conf

HorizSync 60-60

And would also look over www.linux-on-laptops.com/dell.html  before doing too much more.

The numbers you quote are for the viewing angle not Horizontal Frequency (or sync).

I don't have a LCD monitor handy so that what advise given as the words of a fool.

I have same laptop/screen. I use
HorizSync 49.68
VertRefresh 60
