"failed to parse config" after upgrading pacman on colinux

I tried the Archlinux partition image on Colinux (at work).
Arch is on version 0.7.2.

I've done 2 things, and now pacman doesn't work anymore :
- i updated pacman to the last version, it worked.
- i compiled my locale (fr_FR). It worked.

But now, when i try to use pacman, i've this error message :

error: failed to parse config (syntax error in config file)

The image i use is a very small image (98Mo)... and i don't have some very usefull utilities like gzip,...

Because it might be a problem with the locale, i've put LOCALE, LANG and LC_ALL to "C" in /etc/rc.conf and /etc/profile.

Do you have any idea to solve it?

Check whether you have /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew. If yes, copy it over /etc/pacman.conf and try again.
