Not much has changed, apart from the fact that my desktop is a mess right now, as there is tons of work to do for my uni. Exam session starts only a week from now. The desktop is GNOME with some kind of Murrine theme.

Huh, what do you have to do to get ttm to work?
I run it and nothing happens, and I've copied the config sample as it says in the readme files.

My first post in the screenshot-thread in a long time so here we go!

A pretty standard XFCE4-Desktop, nothing big. The stuff that makes it good can't be seen on the screenshots, of course.

There was a problem with the config_sample file, the problem has been fixed now and ttm should work if you use the latest revision.

in your ~/.mc/ ini file there is a [Colors] section. the trick is to set backrounds to "default". Something like ...

[Colors]
base_color=normal=lightgray,default:marked=brown,default:directory=white,default:executable=brown,default

Nice in fullscreenmode aswell ...
