Core Duo Temperature Difference

I'm running arch on a T60 core duo.  I am monitoring temperatures of the CPUs with Kima.

Whenever I come back from standby (suspend to RAM), the second CPU always shoots up in temperature.  Right now, I have CPU0 at 120F and CPU1 at 156F.  I am using powersave with kpowersave and cpufreq.  All the frequency scaling is working correctly after resuming, with both running at 1ghz.  Any idea on why there is such a discrepancy in temperature?

Thanks.

Re: Core Duo Temperature Difference

I don't know where those disrepancies come from, but I think it's normal. My X2 cores have different temperatures too.

Core0 Temp:
             +25°C
Core1 Temp:
             +32°C

Re: Core Duo Temperature Difference

But the strange thing is, they are always the same temperature before suspend-to-ram.

Re: Core Duo Temperature Difference

Must be some type of incorrect reading by acpi in the kernel.  A reboot shows normal temperatures again within a minute, so I am thinking that after suspend-to-ram the reading of the temperature is incorrect.  Annoying, but I can live with it.
