depends on your mirror and how often it syncs with archlinux.org. Should be about 24 hours for most.

I can't upgrade to firefox 2.0.0.3-3 either. Also, when I try to reinstall or download firefox, I get an error:
pacman -Sw firefox

Targets: firefox-2.0.0.3-2

Those servers who can't find the file probably got the new -3 package already and hence deleted the old -2 one.
To updated it manually, download the package from a mirror and save it somewhere (/tmp will do just fine) and manually pacman -U /path/to/package.tar.gz

No? Your target was, again, the -2 version, and at least locke.suu.edu and ibiblio already have the -3 version. I think [vEX] was right ...

But why isn't the -3 version in the database? I did download it manually, and now when I do a system upgrade I get:
pacman -Syu

Maybe your mirror was still syncing and wasn't done yet, and so it's db wasn't up to date.
But well, I don't know, why don't you just wait and see ?
edit : hmm no, that wasn't only a temporary problem during a sync, something wrong happened indeed

pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

There was some problem with the current database. It is fixed now and should be fixed for you after your mirror syncs.

I stumbled here and thought I might as well say that locke.suu.edu syncs every hour on the hour, I should know, I am the server admin. So I update about 5-10 minutes after every hour!
