Beryl Irritation
I was rearranging my taskbars today in KDE, and now my Beryl-Manager icon is missing from the notification area(the red gem). I've reinstalled Beryl, and it isn't helping. Even if I start it from a terminal, the gem never shows up. The manager works fine, but I'd like to have the icon back.
Any suggestions?

I think you missed some of what I said 
The manager is running fine, I just want the icon to show up. The manager is currently running.

I had the same problem occasionally on i686, it disappeared when I switched to x86_64. Killing beryl-manager and restarting it helps.

None of that ever helped.
However I tracked it down to whenever I changed panel settings/locations in KDE as the cause. The solution was to remove the System Tray applet and then reactivate it again.
Seems stupid, but it worked.
